As the founder and lead educational consultant at Brains & Butter, she has guided numerous high-net-worth families through the complexities of school selection, admissions processes, and academic tutoring for British boarding schools. Dr. Alo’s expertise ensures each child finds their ideal fit academically, socially, and developmentally.

Dr. Alo’s educational background is exceptional. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Hull, followed by an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Nottingham, and a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Sussex, the world’s top-ranked university in her field at the time. Her academic achievements were recognized when she was named one of the Top 50 Black Future Leaders in the UK, and she went on to teach for eight years at leading British universities.
 
 
Dr. Alo’s exceptional educational background laid the foundation for her career. Also an alumna of the prestigious Queen’s College Lagos, she currently serves as the President of her graduating set, leading a network of over 500 women, many of whom are senior-level executives across various sectors.

She founded Brains & Banter, an intellectual platform that engages the African diaspora in thought-provoking conversations on development, migration, and leadership. Through Brains & ButterCubs, a summer school program, she also nurtures children aged 5-12, fostering a strong connection with their Nigerian heritage while developing their global outlook.
 
Dr. Alo is also the Director of Education at OSTRA Schools, where she leads strategic initiatives, teacher development, and academic quality control.
